No. Toolpit does not upload your file for processing — the tool runs as code in this browser tab, works on the copy your browser opened, and forgets it when you close the tab. You can check this yourself: open your browser’s network panel and run the tool. You will see the page, its scripts and the ads on the site, and — when you save, if you are signed in — one small request that charges 10 tokens to your account. None of them carries your file, its name or anything read from it, because file processing stays on your device.
Choose A4 or Letter if the PDF is going to be printed or submitted somewhere with a page-size requirement. Choose fit-to-image when the images are screenshots or artwork and you want no border at all.
JPEG and PNG are embedded directly, exactly as they are. WebP, AVIF, GIF and anything else your browser can decode are re-encoded to JPEG first, because those are the two formats the PDF format itself understands. That re-encoding is the only point where anything is recompressed, and it happens at high quality.
Because it contains your photos at full resolution, and a modern phone photo is several megabytes on its own. That is usually right for a document you will print. If the PDF is for email or upload, run the pictures through Compress image first, or put the finished PDF through Compress PDF — either will cut it dramatically at a size nobody will notice on screen.
