No. Toolpit does not upload your file for processing — the tool runs as code in this browser tab, works on the copy your browser opened, and forgets it when you close the tab. You can check this yourself: open your browser’s network panel and run the tool. You will see the page, its scripts and the ads on the site, and — when you save, if you are signed in — one small request that charges 10 tokens to your account. None of them carries your file, its name or anything read from it, because file processing stays on your device.
Use commas between entries and a hyphen inside a range: "1-3, 8, 12-" means pages one to three, page eight, and everything from page twelve to the end. Pages come out in the order you list them, so "5, 1" really does put page five first.
No. Pages are copied into the new document as they are — same text, same images, same fonts, no re-rendering and no re-compression. The only things that can be affected are document-level extras like a bookmark outline, since bookmarks pointing at pages that are no longer in the file have nowhere to go.
Yes — ask for each range you want and you get each as its own document. If what you actually want is every page as its own file, say so with a range per page; and if you want the pages as pictures rather than PDFs, PDF to images does that in one pass.
