Record your screen
Record, trim and annotate your screen.
Processed on your device — never uploaded
Ready when you are
Your browser will ask which screen, window or tab to share. Annotations you draw while recording are burned into the video.
About this tool
Capture your screen, trim the clip, and mark it up — no software to install and no account to create. The recording is built on your device and downloads locally, so it's never uploaded to a server or stamped with a watermark.
Your files never leave your device. Toolpit has no upload step and no server that can see your document — the work happens in this tab, on your machine, and stops the moment you close it.

Questions
Is my recording uploaded?
No. There is no upload step and no server that could receive the file — the tool runs as code in this browser tab, works on the copy your browser opened, and forgets it when you close the tab. You can check this yourself: open your browser’s network panel and run the tool. You will see the page, its scripts and the ads that pay for the site — and no request carrying your file, because there is no endpoint to carry it to.
Is there a time limit or a watermark?
No to both. Recorders that stamp a logo on your video or cut you off at five minutes do it to sell you the paid tier; there is nothing to sell here, so there is no limit and no logo.
Can I record audio too?
Yes — you can capture your microphone, and on browsers that support it, the audio playing in the tab you are sharing. The exact options depend on your browser and operating system, which control what a web page is allowed to capture.
